Winston Churchill wrote a letter about Austria's demands to Serbia. And thus, the ambassador tips the cart, spilling all the heads of every Blades agent in Valenwood and the Summerset Isles. No Aldmeri Archduke was assassinated, but the staggering demands the Dominion gave to Titus Mede II including disbandment of the Blades, outlawing the worship of Talos and giving away sections of Hammerfell, were refused. Both conflicts lasted four years (4E 171-175/1914-1918), ended in a military stalemate (Dominion Army crushed, but Imperials too weak to continue fighting/Rock-solid frontlines that drain both sides), began with demands, and ended with a controversial treaty. But, there are events that occurred during the war that are uncannily similar to what happened during the First World War. Of course, WWI and the Great War share a common name: the Great War - used to describe a war unparalleled in all of history. I'll start with my more surface-based evidence, then work my way towards the more concrete ones. What I mean by this is that I think this is TES' equivalent to WWI. I believe the Great War is the prelude to much more horrific conflict. Throughout my time playing Skyrim, I feel like I suddenly realized something.
